Reaching the Young Members of Today’s Church to Secure the Future of Tomorrow’s Church

The Children’s Ministry teachers at Norfolk Apostolic Church understand the importance of helping to instill God’s Words in the hearts of young people.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:” (Deuteronomy 6: 4-6).

The ministry to Children at NAC is VERY aggressive and busy! Children’s Church at NAC has a dedicated team of teachers who commit their time and talents every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM and Wednesday nights to teach children to develop a relationship with God, maintain a steady prayer life, and become effective leaders in the church.

We equip children to be spiritually powerful at the very age they are right now. They are not just the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today. We believe that children can be greatly used of God at any age; just like David and Josiah.

Children’s Church and “Kalvary’s Kids” classes encourages children to worship God in Spirit and in truth, witness to others, use their talents for God, pray for others, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus in their youth. Children’s Church is exactly what it says: a church service for children. The children use their bibles to find scripture references. They sing and worship the Lord. They pray for their needs as well as others. They give testimonies about God’s goodness and hear impacting teaching. Then, they are encouraged to seek God for help with applying what has been taught in our altar services.

Most of all, they are also compelled to obey the plan of salvation: Acts 2:38. Of course, we also enjoy challenging, active games and give out lots of great prizes.
